Previously, I was sure that ‘I had an intimate relationship with God,’ but this seminar cleared up the misconception.
Pastor Yoon reproached us in his sermon, “Didn’t you think it was sin when you did something for pleasure or surfed the Internet without purpose”?
I repented of the sin of ignoring the Holy Spirit, not letting Him lead my ministry, and I broke down in tears.
I have resolved to pray 5 hours a day. If pastors pray, then the church members also pray and all of them are united in the Spirit like at Yonsei Central Baptist Church.

It was worth spending 20 hours on the flight

It took me twenty hours to fly to Korea because I had to transfer several times. 7 Liberian pastors including myself came and it was hard for all of us, but we are so happy that we’ve found the right way to do ministry.
I learned to what extent a pastor must desperately make efforts to live a holy life according to God’s word and how much they ought to pour out their lives and everything for the sake of the saints. I had been squandering away my time on watching TV and browsing on the internet. I repented of this sin when Pastor Yoon addressed it in detail, and delivered his message through the Spirit. 
Pastor Yoon also said in his sermon, “Your ministry is like writing the next chapter of the Book of Acts.” In fact, it is written in the Bible how to minister. Like the apostles, ‘we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word.’ (Acts 6:4)

The Word, Prayer and Spirit-filled Ministry

I’ve been in pastoral ministry for 35 years now. I had a lot of revelation during the four days in Hindolsan retreat center and I prayed a lot.
I thoroughly realized that I am to do this ministry not promoting myself but only Jesus, because a pastor is just an instrument that the Holy Spirit gets hold of and uses. And there’s no way to be able to do so but by praying and being filled with the Holy Spirit.
I repented of my sin that I wasn’t completely overwhelmed by the Spirit and that I was an obstacle to God’s work as much as I tried myself to do something.
God’s word, prayer and a Spirit-filled life are the keys to soul saving. Now I know I can carry out God’s ministry only when the Holy Spirit enables me to do. I pray that I may keep doing the work of the ministry by Him from now on.

Through prayer, I will be used by the Spirit

Pastor Yoon exhorted the pastors to be filled with the Holy Spirit by praying with greater zeal.
I had a revelation that I can lead the church members to repentance only when I pray and become holy as the Lord says in 1 Peter 1 v.16: “Be holy, because I am holy.” And I repented of my sin that I pretended to be penitent and that I half-heartedly served God as a pastor.
I saw how the Holy Spirit uses Pastor Yoon in a mighty way as he prays for seven to eight hours a day. I was challenged by it and decided to pray from now on and be an instrument of the Holy Spirit. I give thanks, praise and glory to the Lord who revealed this to me and led me to repentance.

I will be the man of the Holy Spirit

“We should wholeheartedly rely on the Holy Spirit in our field of pastoral ministry.”
I heard the sermon from Pastor Seok-Jeon Yoon and made up my mind to be ‘the man of the Holy Spirit.’ The Holy Spirit moved me, but I did not think it would be possible so I hesitated to do it. I repented of the sins that had interfered with the Lord’s work. I will continue to pray until I am filled with the Holy Spirit and obey the Lord. I will also change the way I preach. I will earnestly ask the church members to pray and evangelize. I hope the building project, of building 1,000 churches all over the world of Yonsei Central Baptist Church, will start in Benin. We are ready to invite Pastor Seok-Jeon Yoon for the conference. I am expectant to see what the Lord will do.

Determined to Pastor Depending Only On the Spirit

I learned in the pastor’s seminar in Hindoslan Retreat Center that pastoral ministry should be done only by the power of the Holy Spirit. I made up my mind to abandon all human ways and to rely on the Holy Spirit in my pastoral ministry. Like Pastor Yoon, I want to preach as the Bible says and to pray until I am filled with the Holy Spirit. As the Bible says, “Freely you have received, freely give.” (Matthew 10:8) I heard that Pastor Seok-Joon Yoon did not receive any honorarium in any conference when he preaches, so I decided not to receive any honorarium, too.
When I go back to my country, though I may have a spiritual fight, I will rely entirely on the Lord and win.

I Repented of Preaching without Loving Their Souls

I think a lot of pastors across the world need this Pastors couples’ seminar at Hindolsan retreat center; it helps you see yourself from God’s perspective.
The pastor said “If you have the heart of Jesus, you can’t teach on the platform halfheartedly. How could you do so if you knew how painful it is to be in hell? If the Holy Spirit opens your spiritual eyes you can see who is going where.”
So I repented sincerely of my sin that I had been teaching without love for souls. I got so much grace from God through this seminar that now I am full of zeal for the lost. I can’t wait to go back to my country.

I was shocked I had ministered by the flesh

I was hugely shocked. It was a real eye-opener to know to what extent a pastor must go.
I didn’t get what it means to ‘minister by the Holy Spirit’ at first, but as I listened to the sermons, repented and recovered holiness, the Holy Spirit let me know its deep meaning and reprimanded me that I had tried to minister by my own power.
I believe if I minister by His power, I can represent Jesus’ life in mine, healing the sick and casting out demons. When I go back to Sierra Leone, I will lead my congregation members to pray. I am looking forward to seeing what God will do in my church.

I must repent before I tell people to repent

The word “Repent!” flew straight towards me like an arrow and I couldn’t avoid it. God pointed out my shameful sins as Pastor Yoon was addressing the Bible verses one by one and I repented of every one of them. Above all, I repented most earnestly of the sin that I did not love or serve my church members with the heart of Jesus.
Only prayer can change my life and my pastoral ministry and I can see the difference in my life already. When I go back to my country Nigeria, I am going to deliver a message that they must “pray.” I will keep teaching this to my saints until they reach the point where they pray eagerly, crying out like Yonsei Central Church members.

My 4th time here, I can embrace more people spiritually

I’ve found what the key to success in ministry is, to allow The Holy Spirit to work in and through me.
Pastor Yoon said in his sermon, “Jesus came for sinners but the Holy Spirit for righteousness.” When I heard this, I was tremendously shocked because I had been lost for the purpose of the Spirit’s coming. I highly regret that I didn’t live for the Lord.
It’s my fourth time attending this seminar. Every time I go back, my daily prayer time gets longer and the power to shepherding sheep grows bigger. This time, I am going to pray more.

I have received the vision to save 3,000 souls

When Pastor Seok-Jeon Yoon prayed to cast out demons and diseases in the name of Jesus at every worship hour, the “Amen” sound of the pastors who came from all over the world filled the main sanctuary. I was amazed at the work of the Holy Spirit as I watched all kinds of wickedness leave before the name of Jesus. The Lord gave me vision to save souls in the pastor’s seminar. There are 150 church members in my church. I was moved to build one more church to save souls and to serve 3,000 saints. I want Pastor Yoon to come to our country to preach in a conference. I except that more than 10,000 will gather. I give thanks, praise, and glory to the Lord who has done all things.

Three gifts I received from Hindolsan Retreat Center

It took me several hours to come to Korea, but I received three gifts that cannot be compared to the efforts I took. First, I learned a lot from Yonsei Central Baptist Church members. How can they pray enthusiastically with tears at every worship service? Second, I made a lot of resolutions in the pastor’s seminar. When pastors are separated from sin, the Holy Spirit will use them. I have decided that I will always remain holy by prayer and repentance even when I return home. Thirdly, I received the desire to preach the Gospel. There are areas in India where the gospel has not yet reached. When I return to India, I will tell my neighbors to believe in Jesus as I have heard from Pastor Yoon who preaches according to the Bible.

Filling of the Holy Spirit, tablets of my heart

I attended this pastor’s seminar for the fifth time. Every time I am desperately waiting for the conference because I want to do pastoral ministry with spiritual power. Yoon said, “In order to reenact the life of Jesus, we must be led by the Holy Spirit. You cannot help but succeed if you do your pastoral ministry through the Holy Spirit by prayer.” He wrote ‘filling with the Holy Spirit’ on the tablets of my heart. Sri Lankan pastors who participated in the pastor’s seminar are experiencing revival through early morning prayer. One pastor began the early morning prayer after attending the pastor’s seminar in 2016, and the church is revived, and the other pastor has been experiencing great power of the Holy Spirit after he had the early morning prayer. All this is done by God the Holy Spirit through prayer. I give thanks, praise and glory to the Lord.

I found the role model of Biblical ministry

I found what Paul’s confession was. (1 Corinthians 2:2) Is it for the Lord to live, or for the Lord to die? I was challenged by listening to various anecdotes that he was devoted his life in his pastoral ministry and preaching. Furthermore, I was more greatly impressed by his consistent confession, “The Lord did it”. It felt good to hear the true gospel and prayer. I have greatly repented of what I was soaked in, the worldly culture and spiritual ignorance. I had tried to do my pastoral ministry without God.

I will pray hard to be used by the Holy Spirit

“How can a pastor filled with physical thoughts be able to call on the saints to repent? Only when we are filled with the Holy Spirit through prayer, we do pastoral ministry for saving souls.” After hearing the words of Pastor Seok-Jeon Yoon’s preaching, I am concentrating on prayer. I resolved to pray and preach as the Lord moves. In addition, I heard from the pastor that I should do my faith life well, and repented of the time spent watching television or surfing the Internet.
From now on I will do my pastoral ministry with the Holy Spirit.

In the meantime, although I had committed sin, I could not recognize sin as sin. Yoon said, “How many of the pastors are interested in watching TV?” He pointed out that if you didn’t pray as a pastor, it was sin. I repented the past days when I did not pray and decided to give the Holy Spirit the steering wheel to drive my pastoral ministry. When I came to this pastor’s seminar and looked at my pastoral ministry in the Word of God, I had never actively engaged in evangelism because I had never had the power to evangelize. I will thoroughly repent and pray to God. So I will evangelize and do my pastoral ministry provided with all the resources and power from God. I am filled with the mind to evangelize after the fervent prayer.

Why did God call me to the pastor’s seminar in Hindolsan Retreat Center? It’s because the Lord wants me to do my pastoral ministry through the power of the Holy Spirit. I was challenged by Seok-Jeon Yoon who prayed for 7-8 hours a day, and Yonsei Central Baptist Church members are praying for 2 hours every night. I decided to pray, as they were so focused on prayer, and I repented that I had not prayed and did not do pastoral ministry by the filling of the Holy Spirit.

God-centered pastoral ministry

My prayer time has increased a lot after receiving grace in the pastor’s seminar last summer in Hindolsan Retreat Center. My pastoral ministry has changed from Human-centered to God-centered. The pastor prayed, and then the church members are also concentrating on their prayer life. Nepali church members are in financial difficulty, but they are collecting offerings to build churches to serve and save souls. I have completed the influential course in pastoral ministry

I wanted to do spiritually powerful pastoral ministry. I was full of hope to be used as a servant of the Lord. I felt that the pastor’s seminar in Hindolsan Retreat Center was very important for me to attend personally.
Pastor Seok-Jeon Yoon taught us during this time, “If you want to do pastoral ministry well, be occupied by the Holy Spirit.” I found this to be the key to success as a pastor. Pastoring must be led by the Holy Spirit. I want my ministry not led by the ways of the world, but by the power of God. Prayer is also key in this ministry. It took me 41 hours to get to Korea to attend this seminar.
The Lord gave me a lot of revelations and grace that were beyond my expectations during my time there.
I have decided to devote myself in prayer life as pastor Yoon sincerely urged us to pray during the seminar. I have realized and experienced what Spirit-filled prayer is. I will also pray like they did, and I will encourage our church members to pray with desperate cries.
I want many pastors in our country to come to Hindolsan Prayer Mountain to understand the importance of prayer. I would like to share the testimony about the great work that God is doing in Yonsei Central Church and the key is to gather together and pray sincerely with loud cries.
