Yonsei Central Baptist Church has the 'evangelism reservation system.' The area we evangelize around the church is marked with a red dot. Currently, 165 teams use the 'evangelism reservation system', and the number of participants is by about 200 to 400 every day.

10,901 people decided to believe in Jesus and registered to YCBC in 2018. It registered more than 10,000 people each year three years ago. The YCBC Evangelism Program aims to put into practice the command of Jesus Christ to win souls.

The ‘evangelism reservation system’ provides all the necessities for evangelism to all the departments in the church. ▲ Evangelization days in the week are (Mon. - Sat.) ▲ Time ▲ Place ▲ Lunch ▲ If you reserve a vehicle, you will get it together with all other necessities. Provide meals before going to evangelism, and bring the necessary items for evangelism to the place to evangelize according to the evangelizing time. In short, if you come to evangelism at the time of your reservation, you will be provided everything you need for evangelism. The saints just need to pray, be filled with the Holy Spirit, and evangelize powerfully without caring for other things.

Reservation is mainly made by departments. As of 2019, there are 60 teams of men’s group, 97 teams of women’s group, and 25 teams in parish (51 district). Among them, the evangelical team of men’s and women’s group started to deliver the evangelism goods directly from the church to the evangelism places assigned by the evangelistic department. Teams from each department are deployed to evangelism assigned sites by the evangelistic department. They rent the facilities for evangelism to other places where it is more than 7 km away from church. Currently, 165 teams are using ‘evangelism reservation system’ and 200 ~ 400 people from 30 ~ 100 teams participate every day.

On Saturday, the number of people who go to evangelism through ‘evangelism reservation system’ increases very much.

Evangelical Department has five teams to support evangelism

Evangelical Department has five teams to carry out ‘evangelism reservation system’. ▲The Evangelism Administration team discusses and decides where and when the team wants to go to evangelize, and manages the area so that events will not overlap. ▲ Items team is responsible for the parasols, tables, chairs, hot water bottles, coffee, evangelism tissues, church guides, etc. ▲ The Car Service team transports the evangelists and evangelism tools to the outreach site, and when the evangelism is finished, they load it all back to the church. ▲ Kitchen Service team provides a simple lunch for evangelists every day. About 100 dishes are served. ▲ Evangelism Executive team cooperates with other departments.

The district group and women’s group through the ‘evangelism reservation system’

#1. Tuesday 10 am. 16th Parish, District 2 (Bucheon city) evangelism team members are divided into two teams and move to evangelism place. The evangelism vehicle that started from the church has already arrived to the evangelism place. The members of Evangelical Department unloaded the items they have loaded. Beach umbrellas, a table, a hot and cold water bottle, disposable coffee, ice, disposable paper cups, etc. are necessary items for ‘coffee evangelism’. When the members of evangelical department install a beach umbrella and light booth like a ‘simple coffee shop’ on a simple table, the local evangelism team aligns the items for evangelism in place. Now that they have the perfect preparation for evangelism, they pray together to be used to win so many souls who were heading to hell and to spread the gospel of Jesus with power and authority. Then they started to preach the gospel.

16th Parish, District 2 group’s evangelism day is Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. On Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, they will preach from morning, and on Wednesday they will preach after the local prayer meeting. After the local prayer meeting from 10:00 am to 12:00 am, they have simple lunch in the members’ house and 3 members go to the evangelism place.

#2. On Saturday at 10 am, 4 of the 43th woman’s group enter the evangelistic prayer meeting place in Yonsei Central Baptist Church. Those who registered to evangelize came earlier and are praying. About 500 joined to evangelize on Saturday. They pray for two hours for evangelism. At noon, when the prayer is over, the evangelists who have booked to eat will go to the dining hall and eat a delicious lunch prepared by Kitchen Service team of Evangelical Department.

12:30 pm. The evangelists who get on the evangelism vehicles carrying the evangelism goods are heading for the evangelism place, and the car carrying the 43th women’s group members is headed for Cheon-wang subway station 10 minutes away. When they arrive, they set up booths and set up items for evangelism. After completing all preparations, they serve tea for 2 hours to those who do not know Jesus, and distribute church newspapers, church bulletin, and newsletters, and preach the gospel and invite them to worship. They will continue to evangelize those who gave them their phone number visiting their house or by phone calling later. At 3 pm. The evangelism team members gather to pray to the Lord who has used them to spread the gospel.

On Thursday, December 13th 2018, ‘Making a resolution for evangelism’ for the first half of 2019 was held at the Antioch chapel. The representatives of each department reported the results of how many people they evangelized and registered in the first half of 2019; the attendants also decided to fulfill the evangelism registration goal in the second half and pledged to devote themselves to the Lord's command of saving souls.

Setting evangelism goals makes soul-winning clear

Yonsei Central Baptist Church holds an ‘Evangelism Report and Resolution Meeting’ twice a year. A representative from the Caring for Souls Department in 2019 will report on the achievements of the past half a year before God and the saints, and will give a presentation about the next six months’ evangelism. In the subsequent sermon, the pastor will preach a prayer about the importance of evangelizing with a passion to win souls. The saints who joined the Meeting prayed after hearing the word of God preached by the senior pastor by the Holy Spirit. They repent for not having fulfilled their goals for the first half of the year. They make up their minds to fulfill their evangelism goals by the filling of the Holy Spirit in the second half of the year.

At the end of the meeting, all saints arise and call out together, “When we come together, we will pray, and when we are scattered, we will evangelize, all for the time of soul”. The purpose of the biannual meetings is not just for the saints to remember that the Lord built this church to save the souls who don’t know Jesus and were destined to go to Hell, but also to allow the saints to remember to devote themselves to passionate evangelism. This is done through listening to the results of the first half of the year from the representative of each department.

Twice a year, the YCBC holds the 'Big Invitation Day', inviting thousands of local residents throughout the church to share the gospel of Jesus. On this day, thousands of invitees sat down in the choir seat in chapel and heard the sermon; finally, they all accepted Jesus Christ as their personal savior and Lord.

Twice a year, thousands of souls are saved on Big Invitation Day
Yonsei Central Baptist Church holds Big Invitation Days twice a year, to save many souls that don’t know Jesus and are destined to go to Hell. These days are usually held at the end of April and at the end of October. This year, the Big Invitation Day for the first half of the year took place on April 28. Thousands of people who visited our church listened to Pastor Seok-jeon Yoon’s sermon. Of those, 1958 confessed Jesus as Savior.

The preparations for Big Invitation Day begin two months before the day itself.
First, the church appoints a leader and creates a team for the Big Invitation Day. The team consists of 12 sections: evangelism; serving, and so on. Every division of the church sets their target number of people to evangelize and reports their progress to the church each week. One division collects the data from all the other divisions and summarizes the information to create the expected achievement rate.
Each division of the church prayed every evening and evangelized as guided by the Holy Spirit to reach their targets. The men’s group evangelized by visiting hospitals, old people’s care homes and local district centers. All 97 teams of the women’s group collaborated with the evangelism division and evangelized in their appointed places on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. One of their teams has undertaken ‛Food Evangelism’ for 10 years, every Saturday afternoon, at the entrance to an apartment block. They use food to approach people easily for the first time. They offer food with a smile and preach to the recipients about Jesus Christ who saved humans from sin, curse, sickness, and Hell through the work of the cross. Then they invite people to the Big Invitation Day.

Young adults preach the gospel in the streets near Hong-ik University, where most students in Seoul gather. They also preach the gospel in Noryangjin, where many students are preparing for their exams. On Saturdays, they evangelize people who are tired of studying through sports at the school playground near Noryangjin.
Teachers and students spread the gospel through evangelizing and visiting people’s homes. They gather in the playgrounds of apartments and schools around the church. They evangelize in areas where many migrant workers live. They evangelize by offering free Korean classes. Foreign Mission Board members evangelize in Guro and Ansan city, where many Chinese people live. They also evangelize in Daegot in Kimpo, where many migration workers from the Philippines, Nepal, Cambodia, and Vietnam live.

‘Yonsei Family Feast’ for local residents
Yonsei Central Baptist Church invites residents of Guro District and the neighboring provinces during the May and October holidays each year and also holds a ‘Yonsei Family Feast’ for local residents. We invite our neighbors who want to enjoy quality family time during their holidays. We call this the ‘One Mind Festival’. We prepare food, games for the children, and hands-on experiences in the large churchyard. These activities open the minds of local people to the church and allow us to preach the gospel of the cross of Jesus. The ‘One Mind Festival’ is a team effort by all the groups in the church. There are three markets and many booths in the churchyard. Each group runs one booth. In the games area, we provide rental facilities for children similar to those available in a large amusement park: these provide a pleasant time for family members.
The men’ and women’s groups in charge of the food booths provide different types of food. The young adults group offers grilled chicken skewers, cups of fruit etc. in their booth. The middle and high school students prepare waffles and slushies in their booths. The Education team prepares different programs depending on the age of the children. The Foreign Ministry Department prepares overseas folk costumes and operates the photo-zone booth. Non-believers who do not want to go to church to worship are invited by their family and friends to this event. While they enjoy visiting the different areas in the churchyard, they will be attracted to the church and open their minds to the gospel of Jesus. Special report team.
