Testimonials of pastors from all around the world
33 countries from America, Europe, Asia, Africa, etc. participated in the 56th Pastors’ seminar at Hindol-san retreat center in 2017. These are testimonials of participants.
Although I am seventy years old, I will minister like a young pastor
DJAKOUTI MITRE (Togo)
The spiritual constitution of my church has been changed. We are now committed to prayer and to evangelism. I am the senior pastor–and I prayed first. Then our church members started praying as I prayed. They changed and were filled with the Holy Spirit. When I saw Pastor Seok-Jeon Yoon as President of the denomination of The Assembly of God in Togo, I felt my heart warmed. I attended this seminar to receive spiritual power to change the whole of Africa through Jesus. I received great grace. Yonsei Central Church is to build 300 churches in Togo. Ten of those churches have been completed. The number of members of the churches that have been built has doubled, and the members of the WAAST Church in Lomme (capital of Togo) have experienced revival through prayer and preaching.
The difference between the pastor who prays and the pastor who doesn’t
ABDIAS JOSEPH GBENAGNON(Benin)
When I listen to Pastor Seok-Jeon Yoon’s preaching, I realize that he has had many spiritual experiences that I have not. I am deeply moved to be able to share my testimony, by the grace of the Holy Spirit.
What is the difference between Pastor Yoon and me? Pastor Yoon prays. He has prayed for 7-8 hours a day for decades. He is far ahead of me spiritually. At this seminar, I thoroughly repented of those parts of my ministry that I had not devoted to prayer and evangelism.
I hope that God’s grace fills my pastoral life and my prayer life. I also want to overcome the devil’s work that hinders God’s grace. How much He must love me, sending me to Korea, to the other side of the world, to learn about His true ministry. I give glory to the Lord who gave me His grace.
Turn half of the earth following the voice of the Lord
DAVID BOTCHWAY(Ghana)
I attended the Pastors’ seminar so that I wouldn’t miss the opportunity to hear the Word of Life. We attended because Pastor Yoon’s preaching is the voice of God’s life, not the words of man. For this reason, I travelled half-way round the world to attend the conference at the Hindolsan Retreat Center. Pastor Yoon pointed out our sins and said to repent in order to be open to the Lord. And he asked us to pray. So I became a pastor who prays for the ministry. There is life in the words of his sermon–and it was in order to receive this life that I attended the seminar.
In this seminar, I learned that the only textbook of ministry is the Bible. I believe that the Holy Spirit will open my eyes to know God through the Bible, and He will use my ministry to the extent to which I know God.
Going over Zambia to the whole of Africa with the Gospel
FRANCIS CHIVUTA(Zambia)
I want to expand the Kingdom of God. I want to be used by the Spirit of God for that. Pastor Seok-Jeon Yoon is a model of spiritual ministry.
Zambia is in the center of Africa. I feel that my geographical mission is to communicate the gospel to our neighboring countries and connect them to God. In this seminar, we have to be more closely connected with God in order to communicate the word of God. I knew that I could lead the souls of my church members to God and expand the kingdom of God by knowing God more and knowing God’s heart more deeply.
We look forward to opening the conference in May 2018 in Zambia. The conference will be hosted by New Life Giving church and pastoral organizations, and by the National Freedom Network. We expect to see God’s work.
100% ministered to by the Holy Spirit
MARALACK JOHANNES (South Africa)
Is there any pastor who does not want revival and who does not know the Lord’s plan to save souls? However, not everyone does ministry with spiritual power. This depends on to what extent the pastor is occupied by the Holy Spirit. If pastors are 100% upheld by the mind of the Holy Spirit, we can do our pastoral ministry powerfully. At this seminar, I discovered how much I was caught up in my fleshly thoughts.
The changes in the South African pastors who attended Hindolsan Retreat Center are very surprising. The pastor does his pastoral ministry by prayer. Then the church members also pray. This is something that I had not seen before attending the conference in Hindolsan Retreat Center. I pray for a branch of Yonsei Central Baptist Church to be built in South Africa and to be used for winning souls.
The Myanmar church is being filled with the Holy Spirit.
SAW ALDAR MOO (Myanmar)
I have attended the Pastors’ seminar regularly. Revival is taking place in the Gethsemane Worship Center in Yangon. The church members in Myanmar do not know the importance of prayer, nor do pastors pray for more than 15 minutes. However, after I attended the Pastors’ seminar, I have started praying for 1 hour and 30 minutes, and my pastoral ministry has been conducted by the Holy Spirit.
Our church members have also increased their prayer time a lot, following my example.
In addition to our church, the senior pastors of Yangon Truth Church (Missionary Young-wook Kim) and Rehe Baptist Church (Pastor Dap Taik) in Sakkaing city have made their church members repent, have cast out demons, healed the drug addicts and restored the broken families after they attended the seminar.
Lord, let revival come to Vietnam
DONG THI KIM NGUYEN (Vietnam)
I attended a pastor’s seminar in Hindolsan Retreat Center to be strengthened in the pastoral ministry which the Lord has entrusted to me. I saw Pastor Seok-Jeon Yoon and Yonsei Central Baptist Church that the Holy Spirit uses and I was deeply moved to think that this is the place where I can receive grace. I wanted to receive a strong faith. I also wanted to have a spiritual influence on those who work together. I prayed to God throughout the whole conference to receive power for my pastoral ministry.
God moved me to pray for revival throughout Vietnam and to serve the churches and the church members in Vietnam. Now I will pray to God and have a powerful pastoral ministry. I give thanks, praise and glory to the God who answered and made me receive grace.
The first tears that I shed in my pastoral ministry
PHAN SOPHUN (Cambodia)
Pastor Yoon said, “Repent.” All the Cambodian pastors repented with tears and prayed until they were filled with the Holy Spirit. I had never before shed tears in my pastor’s life, but I received God’s grace in Hindolsan Retreat Center and shed tears for the first time. I seem to have experienced true repentance for the first time in 21 years. I will do my pastoral ministry according to the word of God, and I will repent daily for the sins which I have committed by not obeying the word of God and the moving of the Holy Spirit. I hope that the tears of repentance will not dry up even when I return to Cambodia.
I inwardly burn when I see that my church members are living according to the lusts of the flesh. I want to hurry home and preach only according to the Bible.
I prayed that the church revives
EDILSON BATISTA CÂMARA(Brazil)
I received grace with the preaching of Pastor Seok-Jeon Yoon, who put God first in his pastoral ministry. It was shocking when he preached that even family can become a stumbling block to pastoral ministry. He said that pastors should transcend the family for the church members’ souls. I think it right to do the ‘transcendent ministry’ of Pastor Yoon because this can prevent a soul from suffering punishment in hell.
I want to resemble his pastoral ministry through which he does his ministry through God’s perspective, not the human eye.
I attended the first pastors’ seminar four years ago and realized that praying and being filled with the Holy Spirit are absolute essentials of the ministry. Then I went back to church and made a prayer meeting. The Holy Spirit is working and our church is reviving. I did the pastoral ministry according to the Bible, then the church members’ souls are being satisfied.
For the Lord with a gift received from the Lord
SAIM SHAMOON (Pakistan)
The Lord let me listen to the word of life through Pastor Yoon so that I received a lot of grace. I should do pastoral ministry and preach the word of God according to the word of God, I didn’t do that. I repented.
In addition, the ministry should be made entirely by the gift of the Holy Spirit. I am expecting to be used more by the Holy Spirit because I have received the gifts of wisdom, knowledge, faith, power, and distinguishing between the spirits.
When I return to Pakistan, I will focus only on praying and on my pastoral ministry, filled with the Holy Spirit. When we pray, we can be used according to the will of the Lord and can sustain the pastoral ministry and can fulfill the will of the Lord who wants to win souls.
I give thanks, praise, and glory to the Lord who poured out great grace upon me and made me realize all this.
I will be a Pastor Whose Sermon and Life are Consistent
G NDWAPI (Botswana)
I was helpless at preaching and praying in God’s will. Instead, I was energetic in committing sin. I got angry very often.
Listening to Pastor Seok-Jeon’s sermon, I received the power to do pastoral ministry. I, who was busy committing sin, also fully recovered and became faithful to obey God as His servant. I thoroughly repented of the past days of living a fleshly life.
In fact, there are many pastors in Botswana who share the gospel, but the sermon and life of the pastor are inconsistent. There are many church members who come to church religiously. In this situation, we who attended this pastor seminar will pray and try to evangelize with the Holy Spirit. We pray to be pastors who will be used to save our country and Christianity.
Receiving the clear vision of pastoral ministry
MORUTI ROBERT (Lesotho)
Pastor Seok-Jeon Yoon is a pastor who awakens pastors. He opens the Bible to the pastor who does not know how to succeed in pastoral ministry. It is the most certain and the best way. I found a way to do pastoral ministry by listening to the simple and clear word of truth that “I must repent daily and pray” and “do pastoral ministry by the help of God.”
I will pray continually and do my pastoral ministry by the help of God and will change my life. I have received the faith that our church and Lesotho will be changed according to the word of God if I am changed. I would like to change Lesotho.
I would like to build a facility like the Hindolsan Retreat Center in Lesotho and change the pastors through the word of God. I give thanks and glory to the Lord.
I’ll absolutely pray when I return to Malawi
KAMWENDO DICK (Malawi)
I attended the Pastors’ seminar in Suwon Hindolsan Retreat Center for the spiritual restoration and received confidence for my pastoral ministry.
There is so much written in the Bible about how Jesus preached, why did I not know His way? Jesus, who healed the sick and drove out the demons, told me that I will do even greater things than He has been doing. Why could I not do it? I realized my spiritual ignorance and was so ashamed that I repented.
I will absolutely pray when I return to Malawi. I realized that I should first pray to be used by the Holy Spirit as the Lord said, “This kind can come out only by prayer.” I thought I was praying a lot, but this time I was really challenged when I saw how Yonsei Central Baptist Church members prayed filled with the Holy Spirit.
I hope to have the conference again in Swaziland
MAZIBUKO PEARL (Swaziland)
I attended on behalf of 200 churches in Swaziland in my role as President of the Christian Church in Swaziland. Revival is a pastoral task that I really want to achieve. Two years ago, I invited Pastor Yoon to hold a conference in Swaziland. After the conference, pastors and the churches in Swaziland have changed. I hope to hold a conference again with Pastor Yoon.
Swaziland has a lot of spiritually ignorant people. Even though they go to church and believe in Jesus, they are still very superstitious. I realized that pastors should know the Bible correctly and be spiritually armed and filled with the Holy Spirit in order to present Jesus’ life to others.
I realized the bitter roots I had inside me and repented. I received a lot of grace in this conference.
I have found the reason why my pastoral ministry has had no revival for 16 years
NAKAJIMA TETSUO (Japan)
I have been devoted to my pastoral ministry for 16 years. But why didn’t my church experience revival? I learnt the reason in this conference. It’s because I didn’t pray.
I received God’s grace about the message of heaven and hell. Even though they are pastors, if they do not live according to God’s word, they will go to hell. I thought that “I’m forgiven of my sin, so I can go to heaven as I am.” I was surprised to hear the message that we should repent of our sins everyday. I had said that I followed the Lord. However, I didn’t do according to the word of God and didn’t repent earnestly. So I had problems in my church. But I did not notice it. If I go back to Japan, I will pray for more than 4 hours a day. I will preach boldly about heaven and hell in the services.
The Bible is the textbook of pastoral ministry
TSERENDA OCHIRBAT (Mongolia)
“We must use the textbook of the Truth, the Bible, for pastoral ministry.”
I heard Pastor Yoon’s sermon and repented of the past days when I did not do my pastoral ministry according to the Bible. I firmly decided to change my pastoral ministry. So far I have wanted a big church and many church members. Now I will thoroughly repent in the presence of the Lord, and I will lead my faith life well first as a pastor and will do the ministry of winning souls. I now properly understand that I, the pastor, should first be alive and that the church will then also be alive. I will be devoted to prayer. And I will teach the church members whom the Lord has entrusted to me with the power of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit, and will lead them to lead their faith lives well.
I have a great change in my 28 years of pastoral ministry
Byeong-gi Cheon (Russia)
Each year, when I attend the pastor’s seminar, I am provided with new life and my problems are solved by the Lord. About 20-30 leaders of Sakhalin Grace Church also attend the Leaders’ seminar each year. Each one of them finds and experiences the way to spiritual life in Hindolsan Retreat Center. This seminar was a big turning point. I have been doing my best for 28 years while doing missionary work, but in fact when I look back on it, I made only excuses. I will now run to the eternal goal for the Lord in this life which I will live only once. My resolution will be “If I perish, I perish.”
I plans that it will be five storeys and will contain 2000 seats in three years’ time. I would like to invite the pastor of Yonsei Central Baptist Church once again to open a seminar.
Sick pastoral minister was healed through repentance
Hyun-Jin Park (Australia)
I came to pastor’s seminar in Hindolsan Retreat Center in 20 years. The sharp word of God, like the sword that came to me, pierced the heart and healed the my sick soul.
I also corrected the “pastoral illness” in this seminar. I thought that I was leading my faith life faithfully because I was a pastor’s wife. I was swept away by people and the environment. It was faced that I should live according the word of God in the Bible, so I committed a lot of sins. I repented greatly for lacking of keeping faithfulness.
I was moved by what the Pastor Yoon still preached as the word of God says risking his life and doing the mission given to him. It was in my heart that the ministry was used as God intended. I made up my mind to do my pastoral ministry with fearing and trembling before the authority of the Word of God.
The word of God which is sweet like a honeycomb
Seong-hoon Back (New Zealand)
In 2012, listening to Pastor Yoon’s sermon on the internet in New Zealand, I experienced the power of the Lord and repented. I was healed and demons left me. I experienced spiritual things. After that, when I heard Pastor Yoon’s sermon all day long, I knelt down and repentance burst out so many times.
At this seminar, I was convinced that “When the Lord acts, nothing is impossible.”
The word, “I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.” (John 14:12) pierced into the bottom of my heart. It occurred to me that I had failed in my pastoral ministry. The greatest obstacle to ministry is the mind of sinful man. I will be devoted to prayer to lead my spiritual life.
Pastor Yoon, Please come to East Africa
MPFUBUSA DESIRE (Burundi)
African pastors usually think that money can bring revival. So they think the rich should come to their churches. However, the key for church growth is how intimately the church is connected with God. I also realized that a pastor must only deliver the word of God as the Bible says, so that God will work and revive the church.
Pastor Yoon has mainly gone on mission to West Africa. I pray that he will also work in Burundi, and throughout East Africa in countries like Tanzania, Uganda and Congo.
A rich spiritual life supply in Mozambique
MAPOSSE ALBERTO (Mozambique)
I have received faith that God has brought about a great revival in my life. I prayed that Pastor Yoon’s testimony about his ministry would become my testimony also. I think his rich spiritual experience will bring a blessing to the churches in Mozambique. Mozambican pastors usually have difficulty in their pastoral ministry. They do not live under the influence of the Holy Spirit, so they reach a deadlock. I hope that the word of life will be delivered to them and that they will gain eternal life and repent of all their sins.
In May 2018, we will hold an invitation ceremony for Pastor Seok-Jeon Yoon, gathering about 16,000 people at the Machiva Stadium in Mozambique. We continue to pray and advertise and gather pastors.
I am praying for the conference in Kenya
MWAURA CHEGE (Kenya)
When I heard that there was a pastor who prayed a lot in Korea, and I attended pastor seminar in Hindolsan Retreat Center. It was true that the pastor prayed for seven to eight hours a day. Throughout the hearing the sermon, I was provided with spiritual life. It was not from man, but from God through prayer. ‘Absolute Prayer.’ I could have firm belief that If I have that, the Lord will work in my pastoral ministry.
I am eager to hold a conference with Pastor Seok-Jeon Yoon in Kenya for the greater plan of the Lord’s work. Kenya pastors are preparing for this. We’re praying for 6,000 laymen and 1,000 pastors to attend the conference. I will wait for him to come at any time to preach the word of life, except the period when there are conferences in Hindolsan Retreat Center.
Be amazed at the vivid scene where God works
SADHURAK LALINDER (India)
It was true that Yonsei Central Baptist Church grew because the church prayed and that the church was still experiencing revival. I experienced a vivid scene of how God works through Yonsei Church.
At this seminar, I realized the absolute truth that we should not lose communication with Jesus. I set a clear direction for my preaching that I should preach about Jesus in the Bible. There is no way but prayer. I do not lose my mind to my smartphone, but I will pray to the Lord and will do the ministry well for every single second that will be used by the Lord.
In India, the church members are more filled with the Holy Spirit. Pastors should pray more and focus on evangelism. I give thanks, praise, and glory to the Lord who has done all these things.
I will devote myself to win souls
JENNIFER SAMSON (UAE)
The news of the revival of the Yonsei Central Baptist Church came to the place where I do my pastoral ministry. I wondered how the pastor evangelized.
In the meantime, the world has attacked me brutally. I found that I had fallen into an obsession with YouTube and my smartphone, so I was far away from the Lord. I thoroughly repented.
I earnestly prayed to do my pastoral ministry according to the will of the Lord after I heard Pastor Yoon’s sermon.
UAE pastors are passionate for winning souls, but they cannot devoted themselves to their pastoral ministry because they work on weekdays. In this seminar, I was challenged to see Korean pastors devote themselves to their pastoral ministry. I will pray more to do my pastoral ministry according to the word of God.
I will build a church to pray
Joon-seo Jang (Germany)
During the time of fasting and prayer, in accordance with God’s command, the Lord moved me to attend this Pastors’ seminar. It was mysterious. Pastor Yoon’s sermon reminded me of all the things from which I had had to repent. I thoroughly repented that I had not done my pastoral ministry only by Jesus, only by the gospel, only by the Holy Spirit. On the last day of the conference, the Lord moved me to build a ‘praying church’.
I realized that I should pray more actively and do my pastoral ministry more sincerely, not only for the church members but also family members. I will change my pastoral behavior, which had fallen into humanism and had caused our church members to go to hell. I will firstly live according to the word of God and I will struggle to become a man of the Holy Spirit.
I will do missionary work relying on the Bible and Jesus
Hyeong-Jin Lee (Philippines)
The Pastors’ Seminar in Hindolsan Retreat Center provides vitality of ministry to the missionaries who are spiritually exhausted.
The way of ministry is to read God’s countenance. Pastor Yoon cried out that we should do our pastoral ministry only according to the word of God in the Bible. I was very shocked by Pastor Yoon’s pastoral ministry whereby his people respond to him preaching only the Bible, making the church members repent of their sins and letting them lead their faith lives.
In the meantime, I had been preaching with academic, worldly lessons. But this time, I repented greatly. Like Pastor Yoon, I will preach only with the Bible and Jesus, and will become the ‘man of principle of the Bible’ to save souls in my missionary work.
Mexican Pastors who have recovered the first love
Hacobo (Mexico)
“The First Principle of God is that we should give all things to God and do pastoral ministry only to please the Lord.” I was graced with the original preaching of Pastor Yoon and had restored to me the most basic ‘first mind’.
All the 21 Mexican pastors who attended received grace. After praying and worshiping with tears, we were busy sharing the grace we had received. “Yonsei Central Baptist Church members are as passionate as the pastor.”, “I have not obeyed the Word of God decisively in the past days.”, “In the Word of God, I have mixed in the knowledge of the world, so I have no power….”
Now that God has called us, we know that we must preach the word of God as it is. We only have to preach the word of God, then there will be life in it and the Lord can work.
Challenged by the spiritual ministry
Sang-moon Oh (USA)
“The Lord works as much as I die. My flesh dies, so I can live a spiritual life.”
When I heard Pastor Yoon’s testimony that he had prioritized the Lord’s work in his life, I had a great challenge understanding what is true spiritual pastoral ministry and I repented.
I spent so much time surfing the internet and reading books. I really did not know what I was doing. After hearing the God’s Word of the light, I found that I was wasting my time on nothing of value and not being committed to the pastoral ministry. I will stop watching any documentary or information programs, but will go into the spiritual world deeply and will do my pastoral ministry only looking to God.
The United States now lives in secularism and materialism. But I am sure that God’s Word can change anyone.
Never failing the pastoral ministry
GURUNG KUMAR (Nepal)
Nepal is far from Korea, but since I started my ministry, I have been well aware of the Korean prayer life. In the meantime I did my pastoral ministry in my own strength and could not be filled with the Holy Spirit. In this seminar, I realized that my ministry has been wrong for the last 30 years of my pastoral ministry and repented of this.
I was blessed with the word that if we do our pastoral ministry with the Holy Spirit who is omniscient and omnipotent, I would never fail. Pastor Yoon said, “I have never failed a sermon.” I think it was possible because he did it through the Holy Spirit. This time, I received the spiritual power of prayer. There will be a big change in my sermon in the future. I realized that I need to be filled with the Holy Spirit more and have the power of prayer. I will now put this into practice and will bring revival to Nepal.
Pastors who have the taste of Jesus
KITHSIRI SUDARMAN (Sri Lanka)
This is 4th time that I have attended the conference in Hindolsan Retreat Center. I have come so many times because we are experiencing revival in our actual pastoral ministry. Not only me, but also Pastor Luwan. Pastor Luwan received the power of prayer and turned his church into a daily prayer church like Yonsei Central Baptist Church. They received the answer to their prayer that 10% of new believers would form a home cell.
At this Pastors’ seminar, I heard the sermon and was moved by the Holy Spirit, “Be a pastor who has the taste of Jesus.” I had previously not really prayed and had not done my pastoral ministry in accordance with Jesus’ model: fulfilling the will of the Lord even to the point of death. I will thoroughly repent and make up my mind to pray.
