Yonsei Central Baptist Church, A Church Filled with Love and Stewardship

Currently, Yonsei Central Baptist Church’s buildings including the Main Sanctuary, World Vision Center, Shepherding Center, Vision Education Center, Elderly Care Center etc. on 533,808 sq ft land preciously serves for the salvation of souls. The main sanctuary was dedicated on May 5, 2005. The 19th anniversary of church establishment is a five-story, cylindrical shape building, having 100m of diameter. The main church building is an ultra-modern building which was built considering functionality and economic feasibility. Special construction technology, called ‘top-down construction’ was applied to remove all central pillars and allow a large open space inside the new sanctuary. In addition, the new sanctuary features a digital network system which enables live broadcasting for both internet and satellite services, eight interpretation rooms, cinema acoustics, small rooms for more diverse cultural activities and six theme chapel rooms. The new building was designed to have less maintenance expenses and more space. An IBS and a disaster prevention system were also established and the building was built with an earthquake resistant design. The new sanctuary also features ground level and underground parking lots with a capacity of up to 1000 vehicles, which was a new record in church construction history in South Korea.

The Shepherding Center was originally built as a broadcasting facility so that the building is equipped with a video recording room and sound studio. Built in December 2006, the Education Center is serving the community with a church kindergarten, an academy and a language institute. It is used for Christian education and for mission purposes in the church.

The World Vision Center was built in September 2010. It features seven floors and a basement, with parking spaces for up to 300 vehicles. From the 4th to the 7th floors, there is a large banquet room for church events, fellowship rooms, and wedding hall, big chapel. It also features small rooms for church groups, additional offices and multi-purpose spaces.

The Elderly Welfare Center was also built in 2010. It includes a five-story building and a basement. It is used by male and female elderly groups of people. Yonsei Central Baptist Church built the Vision Education Center to provide students with the best worship and educational facilities to grow their grand vision of the Lord and to let them grow into great people to be used by God. It was completed on October 8, 2015. The Vision Education Center, with 7 stories and chapel hall with 900 seats and smaller chapel halls and facilities for group meetings, is used by all the education parties from infants and kids school to college for the salvation of souls.
